Recognizing the importance of Tanzania’s coastal and marine resources, this thematic area focuses on promoting sustainable use of ocean and freshwater ecosystems. We support youth and women-led initiatives in eco-tourism, sustainable fisheries, mangrove restoration, and marine waste management. Our goal is to unlock the socioeconomic potential of the blue economy while preserving aquatic biodiversity and strengthening coastal resilience to climate risks.
